Keel לא אוספת עליכם מידע אישי. כל מה שאתם מזינים — הפרופיל, השקילות, יומן האוכל והמים, האימונים, המדידות ותמונות ההתקדמות — נשמר אך ורק ב-iPhone שלכם, באחסון של האפליקציה עצמה. אין חשבונות, אין פרסומות, אין כלי אנליטיקה ואין מעקב. אנחנו לא רואים, לא מקבלים ולא מוכרים את המידע שלכם. החריגים הם חיפוש מזון וצילום ארוחה, המתוארים בהמשך.
מה Keel שומרת ב-iPhone שלכם
הפרופיל (מין, גיל, גובה, משקל, רמת פעילות), היעד ויעדי הקלוריות, כל מה שאתם מתעדים (אוכל, שתייה, מים, אימונים, שקילות, מדידות היקפים), תמונות התקדמות שהוספתם, תפריטים שיצרתם וההגדרות. המידע הזה נשאר באחסון הפרטי של האפליקציה במכשיר, ו-Keel לא משדרת אותו אלינו או לכל גורם אחר.
מה כן יוצא מהמכשיר: חיפוש מזון
כשאתם לוחצים על "חפש גם במוצרים ארוזים" (Keel עושה זאת גם אוטומטית כשחיפוש לא מוצא דבר במכשיר) או סורקים ברקוד, Keel שולחת את טקסט החיפוש או את מספר הברקוד אל Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), עמותה צרפתית שמפעילה מאגר מזון חופשי ופתוח. כמו בכל בקשת אינטרנט, הבקשה כוללת את כתובת ה-IP של המכשיר ומזהה של האפליקציה ("Keel iOS"). Open Food Facts מעבדת את הבקשה לפי מדיניות הפרטיות שלה, המפורסמת באתרה, ועשויה לשמור יומני שרת הכוללים כתובות IP. Keel לא שולחת שם, פרטי פרופיל או שום דבר מהיומנים שלכם — רק את טקסט החיפוש או הברקוד. אם אינכם משתמשים בחיפוש מוצרים ארוזים או בסריקה, שום מידע אינו יוצא מהמכשיר, אלא אם חיפוש לא מצא דבר במכשיר.
מה כן יוצא מהמכשיר: צילום ארוחה
כשאתם בוחרים "צילום של ארוחה", התמונה שצילמתם או בחרתם מוקטנת ונשלחת בחיבור מוצפן לשרת של Keel, שמעביר אותה לשירות זיהוי תמונות מבוסס AI (Anthropic) כדי לזהות את המאכלים שבה. השרת מחזיר רשימת שמות מאכלים וכמויות משוערות; אתם מאשרים או מתקנים אותם, ורק רשומות הטקסט שנוצרו נשמרות ביומן. התמונה אינה נשמרת בשרת של Keel ואינה נשמרת באפליקציה; Anthropic מעבדת אותה לפי תנאי ה-API שלה, שאינם מתירים שימוש בה לאימון מודלים. יחד עם התמונה Keel שולחת מזהה אקראי שנוצר במכשיר (משמש רק לספירת צילומים ביום, עד המכסה היומית), את שפת האפליקציה, וכמו בכל בקשת אינטרנט — את כתובת ה-IP שלכם. לא נשלחים שם, נתוני פרופיל או יומנים. אם לעולם לא תשתמשו בתכונה הזו, אף תמונה לא תצא מהמכשיר.
גיבוי המכשיר (iCloud)
אם הפעלתם גיבוי iCloud (או גיבוי למחשב) ל-iPhone, ייתכן ש-Apple תכלול את הנתונים המקומיים של Keel בגיבוי המכשיר, בהתאם לתנאים ולמדיניות הפרטיות של Apple. הגיבוי הזה שייך לכם ולחשבון Apple שלכם, ואין לנו כל גישה אליו. Keel עצמה אינה מעלה את הנתונים שלכם ל-iCloud או לשום שרת.
מצלמה ותמונות
Keel מבקשת גישה למצלמה רק לסריקת ברקוד של מזון ולצילום תמונות התקדמות, וגישה לספריית התמונות רק כשאתם בוחרים להוסיף תמונה קיימת. תמונות שהוספתם נשמרות בתוך האפליקציה במכשיר. הן לעולם לא מועלות, לא מנותחות מרחוק ולא משותפות. מחיקת תמונה ב-Keel מוחקת אותה מאחסון האפליקציה.
Apple Health
הסנכרון עם Apple Health כבוי כל עוד לא הפעלתם אותו. כשהוא פעיל, Keel קוראת מ־Apple Health את המשקל ואת האימונים שלכם (כולל אימונים שנרשמו בשעון Apple Watch), וכותבת ל־Apple Health את השקילות שתיעדתם ב־Keel. מידע הבריאות משמש רק להצגת ההתקדמות שלכם בתוך האפליקציה. הוא לעולם אינו משמש לפרסום או לשיווק, אינו נמכר ואינו משותף עם איש, ו־Keel אינה מוציאה אותו מהמכשיר. אפשר לכבות את הסנכרון ב־Keel, ולשנות או לבטל את ההרשאה בכל עת באפליקציית Health.
Face ID
אם בחרתם לפתוח את התמונות עם Face ID או Touch ID, הבדיקה מתבצעת כולה על ידי iOS. Keel יודעת רק אם הבדיקה הצליחה, ואין לה כל גישה לנתוני הפנים או טביעת האצבע שלכם.
התראות
התזכורות (ארוחות, שקילה, סיכום שבועי) הן התראות מקומיות, שנוצרות ומתוזמנות כולן במכשיר. שום נתון של התראה לא נשלח לשרת, ותזכורות שתלויות בתיעוד שלכם מחושבות במכשיר.
מחיקת המידע
השליטה כולה בידיכם. אפשר למחוק כל רשומה בודדת, להשתמש ב"מחיקת כל הנתונים" בהגדרות (גלגל השיניים במסך היום) כדי למחוק את כל התיעוד, או למחוק את האפליקציה — וכל הנתונים שלה יימחקו מהמכשיר (וייעלמו גם מגיבויים עתידיים של המכשיר). מכיוון שאיננו מחזיקים דבר, אין שום דבר למחוק אצלנו בשרת.
ילדים
Keel אינה מיועדת לילדים מתחת לגיל 13, ודירוג הגיל בחנות נקבע בהתאם. למשתמשים מתחת לגיל 18 Keel מציעה יעדי שימור בלבד, ולעולם לא גירעון קלורי. איננו מעבדים ביודעין מידע של ילדים — איננו מעבדים מידע של איש, כי הוא כלל אינו מגיע אלינו.
הזכויות שלכם
דיני פרטיות, ובהם חוק הגנת הפרטיות הישראלי וה-GDPR האירופי, מקנים לכם זכויות על מידע אישי שגופים מחזיקים עליכם. המבנה של Keel אומר שאיננו מחזיקים דבר: עיון, תיקון, ייצוא ומחיקה נעשים כולם ישירות במכשיר, בתוך האפליקציה. אם אתם סבורים שבכל זאת מוחזק אצלנו מידע אישי עליכם, או שיש לכם כל שאלה בענייני פרטיות, כתבו לנו ונשיב בהקדם.
שינויים במדיניות
אם נוהלי המידע של Keel ישתנו אי פעם — למשל אם גרסה עתידית תוסיף סנכרון אופציונלי — המדיניות הזו תעודכן תחילה, השינוי יתואר בשפה פשוטה, וכל יכולת שמוציאה מידע חדש מהמכשיר תהיה כבויה כברירת מחדל ותוסבר בבירור לפני שתפעילו אותה.

Privacy Policy — Keel

The short version
Keel does not collect your personal data. Everything you enter — your profile, weigh-ins, food and water logs, workouts, measurements and progress photos — is stored only on your iPhone, in Keel's own storage. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no trackers. We never see, receive or sell your data. The exceptions are food search and meal photos, described below.
What Keel stores on your iPhone
Your profile (sex, age, height, weight, activity level), your goal and calorie targets, everything you log (food, drinks, water, workouts, weigh-ins, body measurements), progress photos you add, menus you create, and your settings. This data stays in the app's private storage on your device and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else by Keel.
What leaves your iPhone: food search
When you tap "Search packaged products too" (Keel also does this automatically when a search finds nothing on your iPhone) or scan a barcode, Keel sends your search text or the barcode number to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a French non-profit that runs a free, open food database. Like any internet request, this includes your device's IP address and an app identifier ("Keel iOS"). Open Food Facts processes this request under its own privacy policy, available on its website, and may keep server logs that include IP addresses. Keel sends no name, no profile data and none of your logs — only the search text or barcode. If you never use the packaged-products search or scanning, nothing leaves your device at all unless a search finds nothing on your iPhone.
What leaves your iPhone: meal photos
When you choose "Photo of a meal", the photo you take or pick is reduced in size and sent over an encrypted connection to Keel's own server, which passes it to an AI image-recognition service (Anthropic) to identify the foods in it. The server returns a list of food names and rough amounts; you then confirm or correct them, and only the resulting text entries are saved in your log. The photo is not stored by Keel's server and is not kept in the app; Anthropic processes it under its API terms, which do not allow using it to train models. With the photo, Keel sends a random identifier created on your device (used only to count photos per day, up to the daily limit), the app language, and — as with any internet request — your IP address. No name, profile data or logs are sent. If you never use this feature, no photo ever leaves your device.
Device backups (iCloud)
If you have turned on iCloud Backup (or computer backups) for your iPhone, Apple may include Keel's local data in your device backup, under Apple's terms and Apple's privacy policy. That backup belongs to you and your Apple account. We have no access to it. Keel itself does not upload your data to iCloud or to any server.
Camera and photos
Keel asks for camera access only to scan food barcodes and to take progress photos, and for photo library access only when you choose to add an existing photo. Photos you add are stored inside the app on your device. They are never uploaded, analyzed remotely or shared. Deleting a photo in Keel removes it from the app's storage.
Apple Health
Apple Health sync is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, Keel reads your weight and your workouts (including workouts recorded by Apple Watch) from Apple Health, and writes the weigh-ins you log in Keel to Apple Health. Health data is used only to show your own progress inside the app. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone, and it never leaves your device through Keel. You can turn sync off in Keel, and change or revoke access at any time in the Health app.
Face ID
If you choose to unlock your photos with Face ID or Touch ID, the check is done entirely by iOS. Keel only learns whether it succeeded and never has access to your face or fingerprint data.
Notifications
Reminders (meals, weigh-in, weekly summary) are local notifications, created and scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server, and reminders that depend on your logs are computed on the device.
Deleting your data
You are in full control. You can delete any single entry, use "Delete all logged data" in Settings (the gear on Today) to erase all logs, or delete the app, which removes all of its data from your device (and it will disappear from future device backups). Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on any server.
Children
Keel is not directed at children under 13, and the App Store listing is rated accordingly. For users under 18, Keel only proposes maintenance targets, never a calorie deficit. We do not knowingly process any data of children — we do not process anyone's data, because it never reaches us.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the EU GDPR and the Israeli Privacy Protection Law give you rights over personal data that organizations hold about you. Keel's design means we hold none: access, correction, export and deletion all happen directly on your device, in the app. If you believe we do hold personal data about you, or you have any privacy question, contact us and we will answer as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If Keel's data practices ever change — for example, if a future version adds an optional sync feature — this policy will be updated first, the change will be described in plain language, and anything that sends new data off your device will be off by default and clearly explained before you turn it on.
